La Jambe

Problem

La Jambe's website wasn't user-friendly, and its design assets lacked cohesive brand guidelines. As a solo owner-operator, the founder also needed support with wine buying and club management to free up time for other critical business operations.

Solution

Over a six-month engagement, I established brand identity guidelines and refreshed all of La Jambe's design touchpoints, including paper and web menus, bar-top displays, and the Toast ordering platform. I built an entirely new website with improved UX and integrated subscription management software to run the wine and cheese clubs, handling everything from sign-up to billing. I selected the wines and cheeses for both clubs and managed wine buying for the bar. I also planned and executed events including a winemaker dinner, a Bastille Day promotion with Citadelle Gin, and the company's 10th anniversary celebration.

Impact

The new site elevated La Jambe's brand look and feel, generating 21k page views and 30k impressions in six months. The wine and cheese clubs generate over $18,000 in annual recurring revenue, and the two flagship events sold out, generating over $5,000 combined.

La Jambe is a French-inspired wine bar, deli, & micro wine shop inside Union Market in Washington, DC. It is a small, family-owned business with less than 10 employees.
